I Dream of …. Part 1

Ever since I was lil’ gurl (yeah… do believe it), I’ve been watching this picturesque place in most of the Hindi films. The heroin dancing in the sloping green hill with yellow flowers softly swaying in the gentle breeze, the hero shouting at the top of his lung, happily calling out for his gurl, thus announcing his eternal love. Films such as Kashmir Ki Kali, Aap Aaye Bahar Aaye, Junglee, Kabhi-Kabhi, Jab Jab Phool Khile and Betaab have been forever etched in my memory, what with that romantic scenes in the snow clad hills and moving in the lush green plains that is rolling on and on. Simply breathtaking. That is the magic of Kashmir, the heaven on earth. Once dubbed the most beautiful place in the world. It's beauty is unrivaled.
The yesteryear film productions preferred to shot their film here rather than the foreign locales e.g Switzerland, Austria. Why wouldn’t they when they have such exquisite places like Sri Nagar, Pahalgam, Wuller Lake and so forth.

I Dreamed of This 20 Years Ago...

Hill Station Attraction

Kashmir...in Fall

Kashmir Ki Kali: Shammi is wooing Sharmila Tagore

Flowers in Bloom for Lovers in Love

Dreamin' of this while singing "Yeh Samaan Pyar Ke"

However, the land has been plagued by the territorial disputes between Pakistan, India, China and people of Kashmir. India's official position is that Kashmir is an "integral part" of India. Pakistan's official position is that Kashmir is a disputed territory whose final status must be determined by the people of Kashmir. Certain Kashmiri independence groups believe that Kashmir should be independent of both India and Pakistan. Kashmir’s population is made up hugely by Muslims as depicted in below figure.

So no wonder Pakistan is fighting like mad to get it. It belongs to the people and most of them are Muslim.

During the early days of the conflict somewhere in 1950, neighboring tribe in Pakistan decided to free those Muslim in Kashmir from India. The most prominent tribe was Pathan, my grandada’s clan! No wonder I love this place so much…hehe. Pathan tribesmen number was larger than the Mughal at that time, fought with bravery and determination to save their Muslim brothers. And here I thought my grandada was weaving carpets during his youth. Hehe

So it really is a waste that the conflict has torn the beautiful valley apart. The land was being shredded like a piece of meat thrown over to pack of hungry wolves by the British administration led my Mountbatten.

The timeless beauty had been compromised… and I never got the chance to realize my dream…

Aum aum makan die

Cm nk bwk blk umh je hehe

Ikan Pekasam+ Hp

wah...berjaya jugak aku msk ikan pekasam yg menjadi tapauan aku adik beradik... nk upload gamba tp xsempat pon nk amek gamba tu...DarkSky dengan rakusnya membaham setiap cebisan termasuk pale ikan lampam tersebut...hehe...jgn marahh aaa.... aku sempat habiskan bawang, cili n beras2 hancur yg digoreng bersama tu jek...

Smlm aku tdo tanpa HP-cum-alarm aku. went to Giant after work membeli beras n barang dapur yg dah habes. then notice my hp is missing mase nk kol my housemate nak tny pasal tulur. then time blk umah puas aku mencarik, dlm kete xde, dlm beg xde.. huhu... must hev left it at opis lorr...hmm... xkn nak patah blk opis...biarkan je la. miskol2 pon xgune coz hp aku in silent mode. pg td thanks to my housemate, i woke up in time. she bang on my door... sungguh tradisional. cm hidup zaman sekolah2 (aku xske pasang alarm..) thanx babe! since xde method untuk menghubungi DarkSky to enquire regarding his whereabout, aku pon start enjin n lepak dlm kete sambil mate smakin mengecil n kuyu and enjoying Shakira's tune.. then aku dgr alarm aku dlm mlagu tu..

'aik, apsal Shakira amek tune alarm aku masuk lagu die?'

since sangat la xlogic assumption aku, i tried to segarkan otak aku n baru aku igt alarm tho in silent mode akan still bunyik.. focused to find the source of the racket, there, amidst the jungle of shoes, terlangkup sebuah HP. sungguh x James Bond ko rupenyer... mesti Mr. Bond terhina melihat keadaan C902 begitu rupa. tp aku rase sungguh lega coz ia bukan berada di atas desk aku kt opis. tried calling DarkSky afterward. tetbe aku rase mischievous n nak kenakan die. haha... miskol a few times n die pon sampai. dengan excited he told me to use his phone to call my number coz somebody called juz now. aku pon try kol dgn muke sedey. sedangkan hp aku still in silent mode ada bawah paha aku. so konpem vibrate die akan diserap lemak2 tepu aku. then tgu la hp aku berdering...sekali..

'Harap maaf. nombor yang anda dail berada di luar perkhidmatan'

erk...tebalnye lemak aku......

Colours Of Ranggoli

Saturday last week, went to OU with my sisters. To get Ba’s Bday gift. Aku punyer exited, 11.30 dah keluar coz they informed me to be there at the mentioned time. Since yg bercakap tu Sharifah Ommunnafis a.k.a Ucik, 11.30 aku baru keluar. But still, aku kt tol Sunway, die baru bangun. Cipan siot tol. Tp mmg aku dah expect coz aku pon mmg plan nak ke KJ breakfast2 dulu.hehe… so lepak la kt Faris. Ade org jual Gel Pad or whatever its name is. Borong la 3…konon2 nnti jual kt pasaran terbuka dah naik rege.. since mende tu pon very useful for pewot aku yg slalu cramp time2 critical setiap bulan, hentam saje. Leh bg my mom n dad 1. baekkan aku….

Sampai kt OU, Aci n Adik dah tunggu. Pok pek sedas dua baru sembang psl mende laen while waiting for the High n Mighty Queen of Meleret Ucik. Aku dah la nk cepat coz my Mak Chaq (kakak Ba), Aci Ibah n Aci Ila from Penang dah nak sampai TM. Berkurun aku xjupe sedara aku yg comel2 ni.. Muka idong kami berbeza. Kaler pon beza gak. Almaklumler, anak mami. Cmne jadi cmtu? Ini adalah karena walaupun nenek kami sama (Benggali), Tok kami beza. Tok aku Patan (Pushtun) a Tribe from Afghan-Paki border, Tok dorg pulak India jugak mari.. so mmg Colours of Ranggoli la. hehe....meriah kan kami? Tu blom masuk my Mom's side. ade yg mcm Chinese, Siam...

45 mins later, there Ucik came with big smiles plastered on….takut kene pok pek la tu… Straight we went to Braun Buffel. No singgah menyinggah, not that Ucik didn’t try to detour us times n again. So after voting for the best wallet for Ba, soft leather or hard one, we agreed to settle for the former. Then for Mom lak…for ages she wanted a new handbag. So we decided to buy her one. Xkan nak tgu bday baru bg kan…. Tgu dapat gaji nk belikan Mom new watch (yg lame aku amek hahaha. Cun lg!…die nk yg baru coz yg lama number kecik2..) and perfume. She loves Pleasure Intense! Huhu… dah xjadi trademark aku ler azam oii…

Reached TM around 5pm. Aci n Adik tagged along since Abg Bob xjadi ikut blk. Meriah tul mlm tu… Pas maghrib went to Jakel. Anak sedara pupu aku nk kawen, so kami plan to go Boria Penang.hehe….Brapa jam kt kedai tu aku lost track. Pilih punya pilih,last2 settled for Kasa Rubiah gak…aku dr awal dah agak… gamily aku pantang tgk Swiss Voile ni…brapa meter pon aku tatau. Boleh wat khemah org kawen tau. Tp yg penting sesen pon aku xkuar…muahahaa…blk singgah kedai mamak (hehe…wajibulsinggah). Balik belek2 kain. My Mom is the official tailor. So start amek measurements and everthing. Dah ghope kedai kain umah aku jadinyer. Kul 5am baru tdo..bergosip all nite long…hehe…mmg routine kitorg kalo jupe. Bukannyer lame gile xjupe. In fact, my Mom baru blk dr Penang.

Small insert is my Alisha n Tok Mami (Wan Teh)

On Sunday, it was like Food Festival. Breakfast my mom tanak pulut. Aku goreng ikan kering yg comel2 tu…bulu ayam nama diberi. Then nyok (kelapa) gaul ngn sikiiit garam. Makan bersama...wahhh...lama sudah xmkn begitu. Then Mak Chaq buat kari...waduhhh....xtahan sungguh bau nya menusuk kalbu. Mak tambah dgn kerabu Ulam Raja, sambal tumus udang petai, sambal belacan tidak dilupa and paling best tu, Ayah Chaq (Taiping-adik mak) pon datang gak bwk Ikan Pekasam yg mmg best giler!!!! Apa lg...time blk aku pon tapau ikan pekasam. Ucik yg konon vogue tu pon gile mkn pekasam. Oh yeah. Die smpai on Sunday, sambil senyum kambing n tayang spek DIOR baru die...huhu....jeles...jeles....disebabkan jeles aku pau FCUK die. Tho aku xtau pe motif buat cmtu aku coz my latest 1 is FCUK too... hmmm... hasad dengki manja2 adik beradik namanya. Nana n Kak Izwah anak beranak pon dtg coz nk selebret Bday Ba. Yg pasti, si itam, Mabsyal, suke giler tgk ada gulai Mak Tok. 4 kali die mkn the whole day. Blum kire tambah lg tu…pas mkn bertomoi sakan. Nana anta die kelas tomoi. Siap ada seluar segala…comel giler….

Petang selebret Bday Ba. Suke Ba dapat wallet baru, trus tukar. Mak pon excited dapat beg baru. Aku pon excited coz aku xkuar duit (yet! ok). Utang ngn Ucik dulu...aku kan adik pumpuan bongsu yg dah 3 bulan xbergaji...seb ade duit bonus Astro n Kutu Keluarga Wan Teh (arwah nenek aku daa) untuk sapot. Tidak dilupa tajaan org tersayang..hehe

Mlm ahad baru aku gerak. Happening lak kt umah n aku rase cm nak ponteng jek keje on Monday...tp apekan daya...ade meeting ngn KSU (read: free food, but not applicable to me coz aku xmkn pon) hehehe... dropped Aci kt Bukit Subang dulu and g isik minyak kt KJ. Apsal aku g isik minyak jauh2? Ermm....takut ler skang ni nk g isik minyak mlm2 sorg2... skang ni robberies n other vices berleluasa. senang2 je nk kelar, ragut, langgar, rog etc. Hehe....cun giler cover line nyer ayat kan...hahhaa.... Lgpon, Ba pesan, mlm2 dok umah. time utk berehat n beribadat. Bukan utk berkaroke ye harap maklum..(deshummm!!!! sedas singgah kt muka)

I’m Hepi!!!!sok lusa nangis???xkesah...asalkan aku hepi skang...
(recap: last aku gune ayat tersebut, beberapa hari kendian, aku eksiden.hehe)

p/s: sape nk ikan pekasam jemput ler ke umah ptg ni...haha

Sape tau ni kt mane??

Kesah Yg Menarik

Every morning, we use the Equine-SKVE-Putrajaya route to work. This morning wasn't any different. The only different was that we saw something that doesnt quite go well with the image of Federal Territory of Putrajaya. wot?? meh chek nak habaq. As we exited the SKVE into Putrajaya (Exit after MARDI), in the midst of teasing and laughing, tetbe jek mata ku tertumpu pada objek tepi jalan. ingatkan guni...then;

"Babi!" shouted DarkSky excitedly. org dok KJ mmg xpenah nmpk babi.

"Besarnya....you mesti dah biasa nmpk kan mase dok kt kem komunis kt Ipoh dulu" suke suki je ek ngata org...cipan!

"eleh...xbesar pon...I penah tgk babi tunggal hidup2!" huhu psl babi pun nak menang gak tu...
Roadkill berupa babi di main access to putrajaya?? selekeh gile.across the road, a motorcylist stopped and was talking into his phone, looking at the dead boar. Panggil cine nak jual ler tu...selekeh! ke aku yg terlalu prejudis?

so cite babi ni reminds me of a story from where i cant remember...so cnt credit the source...sorryyy..... ni la kesah menarik yg aku nak storykan.. bkn cite babi di atas.... hehe.

**********************************************************************************
Dari Abdullah bin 'Amr r.a., Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda:"Sampaikanlah PesanKu Biarpun Satu Ayat..."

ermmm....i was born in the year of the PIG (but dat according to Chinese n i am no chinese..void.not valid.exception???). but that is where the similarities end ok.hahaha
*Ghirah is an Arabic word which means protectiveness or jealousy. It is a good type of jealousy, like when a man feels jealous or protective over his wife or sisters and other-womenfolk and doesn't like other men to look at them.

Come to Momma...

Suddenly I feel beautiful...wonder why...haha...Lookin' at these wonderful stuffs is like a therapeutic session. like snow in Sahara. like a pardon to death sentence convict. it's a drug no woman can resist! ye la..kalo ade duit mmg xle resist...kalo xde duit melopong je la...haha

M a Gucci aficionado... Been secretly (until now dat is) harbourin' a wish to get my hands on Flora. But my sis beats me to dat! Urrghh... but me thinks Rush appeals to my senses more... it's has a touch oriental, sharp, woody and floral, whereas Flora is sensual, light, soft, feminine, flowery fragrance. Since my Rush is approching it's 5th-year anniversary on my shelf, better get Flora instead (cilok je la). Price tag?? $139

oh yess...nice eh? Being me, of coz i want a bag to hold lots of documents and personal belongings and do not want a big bag that will make me look weirdo or salesgirl...huhu

Coach Braided Leather Extra Large Zoe bag - an extra large bag with style and sophistication...price tag?? $1000

Next, Louis Vuitton Monogram Embossed Suede Paris Soupe Whisper GM... though this is 08 Fall Collection, I'd give my eye n teeth for this! haih... "Crafted in graphic Louis Vuitton Paris embossed leather, with distinctive details such as silvery flat link chain and a playful pompom, this bag is comfortable to carry by hand or on the shoulder" and so they say.... Price tag? $4,040

Ok. Now for the impossible dream.... Have you seen “most expensive handbag in the world” ? No?Yes? whatever... Now i'll give you the Hermes Diamond Crocodile Birkin. That LV is a junk at most half the price of it. The Hermes Diamond Crocodile Birkin is what Maybach is to cars, Schloss Neuschwanstein is to castles, Monaco is to luxurious nightlife. Ultra luxe croc on a Hermes Birkin is enough to make u beg at a strange SA’s feet, but paired with 14 carats of pave diamonds on the signature Birkin lock and clasp would send me into a continuous groveling state. That sight would not be pretty let me assure u. Recently Doyle New York auctioned off a Hermes Diamond Croc Birkin which sold for $64,800. That price is reasonable, compared to a ‘$140,000 one-of-a-kind pink crocodile Birkin bag with diamond hardware that was sold in one day' when the Hermes Palm Beach Store opened in February 2007. While a Croc Birkin is one my eternal dream list, the diamond encrusted croc Birkin seems a bit farfetched for moi, but is still a masterpiece and the pinnacle of all handbags. To whoever keeps pushing that LV bag as the most expensive in the world (macik CT ek??), feast ur eyes on a bag that makes the LV tag of $45k look like chump change next to $140k. 1 of the proud owner? Posh 'skeletor' Becks, if i got it rite... hmm...the influence of E! hahha...
So... xberbaloi? yeah sure. not worth it. but u know...it wud b nice..heck, it wud b something out of this world to have it. but to buy it, no way in hell i'll succumb to this earthy seductive craving. total waste of money tell ya' that...in the end..xleh masuk kubur jugak.

Can You Solve Einstein's Riddle?

Einstein wrote this riddle early during the 19th century. He said 98% of the world could not solve it (ek? tu zaman die la..skang dunia dah mberubah, zaman dah moden..ye idok??). It's not hard, you just need to pay attention and be patient.

There are 5 houses in 5 different colors. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage.

The question is: Who owns the fish?

Hints:

* The Brit lives in the red house.
* The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
* The Dane drinks tea.
* The green house is on the immediate left of the white house
* The green homeowner drinks coffee.
* The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
* The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
* The man living in the center house drinks milk.
* The Norwegian lives in the first house.
* The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats.
* The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
* The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer.
* The German smokes prince.
* The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
* The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water.

Changing Mindset

Thought this would be interesting enough to share ...

If your company, Comb manufacturers assigned you to sell the comb to the monks in the temples? Can you do it?

What is your answer?

a) No Way , Impossible!
b) Crazy!
c) I will give it a try in order to follow my boss'instruction.
d) Well, I will try.
e) Ya, I think I can sell ??? (5pcs? 10pcs? 50pcs? or more...you name it)

Pick an answer above and read below to find out if you are/you are going to be a successful person or not at all.

The Story: SELLING COMB TO THE MONK

There was one company "manufacturing combs" which intends to expand its business and so the management wanted to employ a new Sales Manager.

The company ADVERTISED the vacancy in the newspaper . They are so many peoples turned up for the interview everyday....accumulated to almost a hundred peoples in just few days.

The Company now having the problem to choose the right candidate for this position . So, The Company interviewer had set A Difficult Task to whom who want to come for final interview.

The Task Is To : Selling Comb To Monks In Temples

Only 3 Applicants willing to stay on for this Final Interview challenge. (Mr A , Mr B , Mr C)

The Chief Interviewer instructed: "Now I want three of you here to sell these wooden combs to the monks in the temples. You only have 10 days to do it and report to me after that."

After 10 days, they reported.

The Chief Interviewer asked Mr A:"How many have you sold?"

Mr A answered:"Only One."

The Chief Interviewer asked: "How did you manage to sell?

Mr A answered: "The monks in the temples scolded me when I show them the comb . But on my way back to downhill I met a young monk who bought it to scratch his head due to dandruff.

The Chief Interviewer then asked Mr B: "How many did you sell?

Mr B replied: "10 pieces. I went to a shrine and noticed many devotees's hair was in bad shape due to strong wind outside the shrine. The monk in there listened to my advice and bought 10 combs for their devotees in showing respect to the Buddha statue."

Then, The Chief Interviewer asked Mr C:"How about you?"

Mr C replied: "1,000 units."

The Chief Interviewer and the other 2 interviews were astounded.

The Chief Interviewer asked: "How you did that?"

Mr C replied: "I went to a famous temple. After observing for few days I discovered that there were many tourists. I then told the Chief Abbot there. "Sifu, those who come here are much devoted. If you could give them a gift, it will be more elating to them. I told him that I have a bulk of combs here and ask him to raft his handwriting on the combs as a present to those visit here. He was very delighted and straight away ordered 1,000 pieces."

MORAL OF THE STORY ;

HARVARD UNIVERSITY had done a research that says :-

1) 85% of success is due to attitude and 15% is capability
2) Attitude is more important than intelligence , specials skills and luck ..

In another word , professional knowledge only constitutes for 15% of success of a person and 85% is due to self-cultivation, public relation and adaptability ability.

Still remember the story of Selling Shoes to African ?

When 2 Salesmen were sent to that continent, one of them reported: Can not do it. No one wears shoes there?

The second salesman said: "It is good to market . A lot of opportunity."

Success and Failure is dependent on how we face problems.

Remember, when the economic is good, there are peoples going bankrupt.

When business is bad , there are many new millionaires produced as well. So , apply now the 85% right working attitude fully.

Something2Share:

I believe this basic principle of 85% right working attitude is also applicable to Plantation Management.

Many problems encountered by planters in their plantations can be overcome for they are not as difficult as "selling comb to monks in temples". Logically it's impossible for no monk will buy a comb because it is used for combing hairs. Monks in temples are simply not your customers!

Now with this story, we learn to "think out of the box" and even with 15% capability, we are confident to solve problems for nothing is impossible as long as we have the RIGHT WORKING ATTITUDE with COMMITMENT full of DISCIPLINE, DEDICATION and DETERMINATION. Every time when we watch MISSION IMPOSSIBLE movie, the ending is always POSSIBLE.

DO NOT FIND EXCUSES NOT TO DO THE POSSIBLE, BUT FIND WAYS AND MEANS TO DO THE POSSIBLE. That's the right working attitude!

ala...mcm Bob the Builder la...

"Can we fix it? Yes we can!"

Dream a Lil' Dream of Me

Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper "I love you"
Birds singing in the sycamore trees
Dream a little dream of me

Say nighty-night and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me
While I'm alone and blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me

Stars fading but I linger on dear
Still craving your kiss
I'm longing to linger till dawn dear
Just saying this...

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries far behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me

Yes, dream a little dream of me...

A Story To Live By

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.'

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her, 'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying:

'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.'

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes..

Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Life Is a Gift!

Today, before you say an unkind word

- Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food

- Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife

- Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today,before you complain about life

- Think of someone who died too early on this earth.

Before you complain about your children

- Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep

- Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive

- Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job

- Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another

- Remember that not one of us is without sin.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down

- Put a smile on your face and think:

You're alive and still around!

Frozen

Got back to work yesterday. For 2 days before dat, I was chained down by the depression. Ha ha…depression la sangat. Dunno what got over me sampaikan aku hanya bertafakur di rumah. It was only for two days and I was like slowly losing my mind out of boredom. But I don’t wanna go out, jalan2 kt mall or park or whatever. It was like I reached the stagnant, motionless phase, unable to neither go forward nor unwind it all. Froze in time.

Maybe I’m trying to cocoon myself. Shieldin’ myself from the pain and the hurting which this world had dealt me with. Macam comel lak kalo aku leh cocoon-kan diri aku. Yes, 2 days of nothingness. 2 days of being at the point of nonexistence. 2 days of reflecting on my life and thinking…. thinking….. thinking…… 2 days of wallowing in self pity and gathering the strength to get back on my feet. 2 days of finding my inner strength and the courage to move on. And lotsa good it does me, aye, sirrr! Coz, I was rewarded with chocs n a weird looking red rose which at 1st glance I tot it was plastic. After a closer look and a attempt to sniff it (ala..cm dlm movie2…cium2 bunga.bajet cute la jap), it turned out to be made of feathers…so soft and sweet… bagus2. m lovin’ it!

While contemplating, somehow, my mind wandered to this piece of poetry, written on the cover album of Tommy Page. Bet most of you xkenal pon sape mamat ni kan. Well, 1 of the advantages ade older sisters is that you know the singer from eons before you were born hehe…. Well, I was like years ago, but I still remember the words… kinda sad yet inspiring, telling me not to give up just yet…

Something turns to nothing
And nothing makes you cry
There was something in that nothing
It’s gone and you wonder why
Life can be lived on one thing
For that one thing it could be something.
So wipe those tears of nothing
For tomorrow, there will be something
